Caroline Romano is a Nashville based alt-pop singer/songwriter and musician. We’ve covered the artist before on Indie Light, and you can click here to read more. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘girl in a china shop’ which deals with the artist’s feelings regarding being destructive, and how easy it is to unintentionally damage themselves for other people, which was released November 17th 2023.

‘girl in a china shop’ opens up softly, with gentle strings leading us forward, they take grip after a few moments, building in speed, as the melody blends together with Romano’s sensational vocal performance. Her voice is a genuine gift, just so strong and filled with emotion and sincerity, you hear the rawness and depth in her vocals and you connect with what she’s thinking and feeling as she performs. I particularly loved the delivery of her lyrics, especially during the heavier and harder sections, where not only do you feel her intensity, but also you can feel the battle between her voice and the powerful strings and percussion, which come together in a hammering frenzy to create something truly vital. This track absolutely blew me away, because its just a truly impactful performance that I won’t forget in a hurry.

So that’s what I thought of Caroline Romano’s single ‘girl in a china shop’ and if you want to check that out for yourself, then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
