Blue Kubricks are a five piece alt-funk rock band from Leeds and today I’ll be reviewing their track ‘You’re a Beach’ which was released September 25th 2020.
‘You’re a Beach’ opens with the sounds of the sea and seagulls, before light percussion and a jaunty, guitar melody flow forward, the vocals are tight and slower, compared to the instrumental, creating a nice counterpoint, like a good summer, the chilled out and the busy in perfect harmony. Speaking of which I really liked the vocal harmonies throughout, they added a lot to the whole track. I especially liked the guitar solo towards the end, it was raw and really powerful but worked well within the track as a whole.
So that’s what I thought of Blue Kubricks single ‘You’re a Beach’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
