Indie Light is media platform focused on showcasing the very best of the arts & entertainment scene. We actively promote and support talented creators regardless of medium, genre or location.
For more than five years now, we have been evolving and developing as a platform. When we first began, it was just a portfolio for our editor-in-chief, Freelancer Tom to post content which they could show to potential employers. After a few months, it began to attract attention and visitors, and people requesting that we review their stuff, and so the next big phase of the platform began. We became ‘Off the Record’ and for several years we produced an ever increasing variety of content, built up an audience and slowly expanded our contributor base. In late 2023 when renewing our domain for another year, we decided to reflect upon all that we’d achieved, and what goals we wanted for the future.
After some thought, we decided to go for a big rebrand, with fresh designs, a new zeal for producing content, and a clearer intent and focus. As part of that refocus we’ve dropped some content that had previously been part of our regular output, fortunately the majority of that old content found a new home on Freelancer Tom’s personal blog. Following this big rebrand, we are now Indie Light, where we have a renewed focus and commitment to arts & entertainment journalism, and where we hope to continue producing engaging, entertaining, positive and honest content for our readers.
