Angelina Curtis is a 17-year-old singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actress from Perth, Australia. A semi-finalist in both the 2023 and 2024 International Songwriting Competition, as well as a Top 8 finalist in the 2023 season of Australian Idol, it’s clear that Curtis has incredible talent and promise and I’m looking forward to hearing her music. Speaking of which, today, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Stereo’ which was released March 21st 2025.

‘Stereo’ kicks off with rhythmic strings, a fast flurry beneath Curtis’s vocals, her voice deep and rich and harmonious, building and falling in perfect balance. As the track progresses the instrumentals get a little busier, percussion and bass blending together with the vocals and man I’m absolutely blown away. Not even counting music I listen to recreationally or incidentally, I probably hear a hundred new artists a week at a bare minimum, and yet it’s a distinct pleasure to hear an artist like Angelina, who already performs with such confidence and vulnerability and depth. Even in this song that clocks in at just over two minutes I’m confident that she’ll be going places and I for one will be keeping an eye out for her music in the future.
