Beabadoobee is the performing name of Beatrice Kristi Ilejay Laus, a Filipino-born, London based singer/songwriter and musician. Today, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘A Night to Remember’ which features a collaboration with the awesome Laufey, and was released October 20th 2023.

‘A Night to Remember’ has a smooth and sultry opening, with light percussion and chords that blends together perfectly with Beabadoobee’s vocals, her voice rich and harmonious in a way that just lights up a room. The past couple of tracks I’ve reviewed on Indie Light have been high energy and modern, whereas this track is slower paced and has an almost timeless quality. I’m particularly drawn in by the rich vocal performances which are just absolutely breath-taking. I’ve already had a lot of positive things to say about Laufey but it’s clear from this track, with its clean and simple melody, yet warm and emotional core that Beabadoobee is an artist to keep an eye out for.
