Reign is a Canadian singer/songwriter and musician from Toronto. We’ve covered the artist before on Indie Light, and you can click here to read more. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘don’t go’ which was released March 29th 2024.
‘don’t go’ opens softly and smoothly, bright and warm ambient synthy melody that builds and blends with Reign’s vocals. Her voice matches the vibe perfectly. A light but energetic percussive beat is added in giving the track a little extra texture. As I said above, I’ve reviewed the artist before so I already knew I liked their style but this track just really worked for me. It’s relatively stripped back over all but has just the right balance of energy and melody, that really just keeps your attention.
