Indie Light

Nashrene is a London based Hip-Hop/R&B singer/songwriter and musician. We’ve covered the artist before on Indie Light and you can click here to read more. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Do You Care’ which was released July 5th 2024. 

‘Do You Care’ builds slowly, with rising and falling synthy tones which blend together with a light, but vibrant and rhythmic percussion. Next to join the melody are Nashrene’s angelic vocals, her voice light and pure, merging into the instrumentals seamlessly, to create another standout performance. I like the balance of this track, it has a delicate cadence, slow and heavy, and you just get totally lost in the melody. Nashrene is a phenomenal vocalist and performer, and having recently reviewed another track of hers I feel confident in reiterating my previous feeling that they are going places, and I’ll be keeping an eye out for their music in the future.
