Lyons Lane are an alternative rock duo from Detroit, Michigan. We’ve covered the band before on Indie Light and you can click here to read more. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing their single ‘For Josie’ which was released June 28th 2024.

‘For Josie’ upbeat and energetic strings, light percussive clapping and high energy vocals that remind me of Dexys Midnight Runners, specifically ‘Come On Eileen’, but that’s where the comparison stops. Well that and both are superb tracks. The horns really add to this track, the funky melody and whimsical energy all come together to create a really rich and rewarding performance. I already knew I liked the band from their last track I reviewed, but this entry manages to somehow be totally different and yet equally awesome.

So that’s what I thought of Lyons Lane’s single ‘For Josie’ which you can check out for yourself over on Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist over on Facebook and Instagram.
