Shauna Dean Cokeland is a Maryland based singer/songwriter and musician who performs her own unique brand of indie folk, with pop stylings. We’ve covered the artist before on Indie Light and you can click here to read more. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Electric Blue’ which was released March 8th 2024.
‘Electric Blue’ kicks off with guitar strings, rich and warm, and blending into Shauna’s vocals, her voice bright and emotive, and yet she blends whimsy and self-awareness into the melancholy and melody. I’ve already covered the artist before as I said above, so I knew going in that I liked their music but this track is just superb, in an offbeat and wonderful way that’ll be sure to keep me thinking about the track for a long time.
