Pisceze is a singer/songwriter and musician from Toronto, Canada. Her rich cultural heritage, a fusion of Korean and Japanese, informs her music which is a unique blend of r&b, soul and K-pop. Today I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Pressure’ which was released May 17th 2024.
‘Pressure’ builds slow, ambient, synthy tones, like a deep ocean, and from it emerges the breathtaking vocals of Pisceze, her voice striking and emotional and absolutely flawless. The light rhythmic percussion and bass, adding texture and weight, but without distracting from her show stopping vocal talents. I like that it’s just so self-contained and well paced, it isn’t bombastic and exploding or frenzied, even the actual structure of the melody is relatively simple, but it still manages to be powerful and impressive.
So that’s what I thought of Pisceze single ‘Pressure’ which you can check out for yourself over on Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and show your support by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
