Lyons Lane are a Detroit based musical duo made up of Mark Leo and Thomas “Tomcat” Thompson. Today I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Stoplight Kissing’ which was released February 2nd 2024.
‘Stoplight Kissing’ has a fun and quirky little melody which reminds me of those old Beach Boys type tracks. It’s catchy with a nice tempo that carries you forward, the percussion and strings blended together flawlessly to create a rich, warm and engaging beat. The vocals equally really work, adding more energy and vibrancy and passion to the whole performance. I do tend towards the slower, more melodic tracks but occasionally a fun and light song like this will show me what I’m missing.
