Royal Arch are a five piece post punk outfit from Athens, Greece. Formed back in 2020, the band is made up of Nick Kokkinos on Guitar, Vasilis Dousis on Guitar, Elias Masri on Vocals, Orestis Loukas on Bass and Elias Kokkinos on Drums. Today I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Root of Your Downfall’ which was released December 4th 2024 and is off their upcoming debut album ‘Love & Terror’ which is scheduled for release later this year.

‘Root of Your Downfall’ opens with some high energy strings that build and percussion dances over top, a rich and energetic melody developing before the vocals even kick in. And once they do it immediately ensures I’ll be keeping an eye out for this band in the future because the vocals are strong, a good edge to them, almost melancholic but still vibrant and engaging. As I said a moment ago I’ll be sure to keep Royal Arch in my scope going forward, but after this release I’m especially excited for the upcoming album because this is a track without fault, awesome drums, stellar strings about intense vocals to top it off.
