Quaint are a four piece alt-rock outfit from Glasgow made up of Kyle Lynch on Guitar/Vocals, Lewis Fenton on Lead Guitar, Leo O’Rourke on Bass and Lewis Cook on Drums. They cite Pink Floyd, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Smiths, Oasis and Fontaines D.C as influences on their music. I’ve only recently discovered the group, and today I’ll be diving right in, and talking about their single ‘Unspoken’ which was released May 10th 2024.

‘Unspoken’ kicks off fast with a tight drum intro that blends in the strings slowly, before exploding forward with high energy and big performance, and within a minute I’m immediately drawn in. Lynch has a strong voice, and it really works for this track, he matches the energy and the instrumentals and vocals feed off one another really well. I like tracks where you can feel the harmony and structure of the outfit in the songs. Unspoken is a superb track, and it keeps an even pace throughout, plenty of energy without too much build, instead it focuses on the interplay between instrumentals and top notch vocals. Like I said, I literally only found this band because I’m in college with one of the members, and yet I can already tell I’ve found another band I’ll be keeping an eye out for, I mean you listen to that phenomenal, powerful string section that closes out the track and tell me this band isn’t going places.

So that’s what I thought of Quaint’s single ‘Unspoken’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
