While attending Rai Con 2024 back in May, I was able to take a break from working at Tori B Bearly & Puppy Bandits tables to wander around and check out some of the other fantastic artists and vendors around us, and I have to say that this year in particular the place was absolutely jam packed full of amazingly talented creators.

I will add that it was a strange experience attending ACME as a vendor, because for the past couple of years I was fortunate enough to attend as a member of the press team. While doing that, I’d usually go around talking to attendees and vendors to make sure I was adequately covering the event. I guess old habits die hard though, because while taking my stroll around artist alley I couldn’t resist chatting with people and writing this feature.

So why are we here today? I’d really like to talk to you about Chloe, or Zipper Blues Tattoos as she’s also know. First off she’s an incredibly talented artist and graphic designer, and just such a cool person. I was totally hyper by the time I got to her table, and excited to talk to new people, so I was probably chirping away like a budgie, but she seemed more than happy to chat with me.

At Rai Con, she had a great range of prints on offer, and I have to add that among the range, there was not a single design that didn’t belong to a franchise I absolutely adore, from, Animal Crossing, to Persona, right through to Devil May Cry and Life is Strange. I mean just check out some of the designs below, but seriously she’s just enormously talented, and if you have the opportunity you should get yourself an original Zipper Blues Tattoo design.

Each piece has a unique and distinct flair, which makes for an incredible piece of art. Moving on from what they had available at Rai Con. let’s talk about the other side to the Zipper Blues Tattoo brand.

As you may have been able to guess from their name, they aren’t just limited to just traditional art/graphic design, they are also a professional tattooist, and her work in that field is equally impressive. As a tattoo artist, she focuses on anime/manga designs, and even just glancing at her socials, you can see some fantastic pieces, based upon popular properties such as My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Z, Bleach and Demon Slayer just to name a few.

She’s fully capable of handling any designs, from black and white, right through to full colour and from simple elements, to those heavy in detail.

She’s currently available for booking, and works out of Hepcat Tattoos in Glasgow. If you’re interested in booking her directly all you need to do is follow this handy little guide for booking.

hopefully you’ll be able to get yourself an awesome tattoo of your own. Speaking of contacting, you can reach the artist on Facebook and Instagram.
