Momma Bear The Goddess is a hip-hop artist, and influencer from Texas. We’ve covered her before on Indie Light, and you can click here to read more. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘When It Gets Gangsta’.

‘When It Get Gangsta’ opens slow with a building piano melody, striking chords that flow forward, meeting vocals, the counterpoint between the deeper male vocal additions and Momma Bear the Goddess who has a voice that’s rich and soulful, she takes a deceptively simple melody, which just drips with sincerity and talent and creates a genuinely engaging track with a strong percussive beat throughout. As I mentioned above I’ve reviewed a couple of tracks by the artist now and I strongly suggest you check them out for yourself because she has undeniable talent and an ear for creating a good hook.
