So with the recent rebrand came a renewed sense of purpose and direction, specifically I remembered that I created this platform not just as a place to write, completely free from restrictions, censorship and oversight but also to boost and spotlight other creatives, and to give them a platform to broadcast themselves.
So with that in mind I’d like to introduce you to Kerrie Fleming, an Ayrshire based artist and graphic designer. Again, a quick bit of disclosure, I know Kerrie through Tori B Bearly, and through our mutual attendance to Unity League, I would also consider us friends, but regardless of any prior connections, you can expect me to be honest and forthright in writing this feature.
So Kerrie already has quite a diverse portfolio, bridging both traditional art and digital art, with a focus on bold designs and crafting their own unique elements via their artwork. They are not afraid to explore and try out a multitude of styles and disciplines either. I mentioned in another artist’s feature that they tended towards cute aesthetics, I would say that equally Kerrie has a talent for creating characters and designs which could equally be called ‘cute’, and I mean that as a compliment. I will say though, in part due to the explorative and diverse nature of their portfolio it’s considerably harder to pin down their own style. However as a result we can see clearly that regardless of style, medium or platform Kerrie has a natural talent that they continue to develop. Having looked through a selection of the images they have available I think that Kerrie has a fantastic eye for capturing detail, and fully realising the potential of an image.

I’m not sure if it’s a service they specifically offer, but after seeing these awesome cat portraits, I’d strongly suggest that if you want to capture your pet forever in all their goofy glory that you request a custom piece for yourself. Speaking of portraits, Kerrie already offers design work in a variety of styles including Anime/Manga inspired or Chibi, but their photorealistic design work is equally superb.

As a token nerd and lover of words, I obviously enjoy a good comic book, or comic strip, and as if they multi-disciplined services and exampled Kerrie has produced already isn’t impressive then check out just a couple examples of a comic book Kerrie is working on, which she both wrote and produced the artwork for, seriously you’d be crazy to not at least check out more of their work because you won’t regret it.

Kerrie is currently available for commission, and I strongly suggest you reach out as they are a dedicated artist, who is eager to show people what they are capable of. You can find Kerrie, over on Instagram.
