Tala Silva is a singer/songwriter and musician who makes wonderful bedroom indie R&B music. I came across them because thanks to some major tweaking of my Instagram algorithm I’m finally seeing musicians and artists rather than cooking hacks and Top 10 anime betrayal videos. Today I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Goddess’ which was released October 20th 1023.

‘Goddess’ opens with a funky, smooth intro, light manual percussion, and a vibrant undertone that breaks into some sensational vocals, light, consistently trilling vocals, and Silva’s synth infused voice that is just superb. I really like the rhythm and energy of this track, the percussive beat keeps pace really well and carries you forward, and you are just continually blown away by Silva’s engaging and powerful vocal skills. This song does a lot throughout the roughly three minute run time, but I can honestly say when it was done I was more than happy to listen to it again, it’s just got a really fresh feel to it, like I wouldn’t say that it sounded like anything else I’d heard recently, and it did it without being too experimental or offbeat, instead it’s just a really bouncy track, that I can easily recommend to you all.

So that’s what I thought of Tala Silva’s single ‘Goddess’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
