rlyblonde is a project from Brooklyn based musician, photographer and director, Carina Allen. Today I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Your Angel’ which was released November 29th 2023.
‘Your Angel’ opens with dark and heavy strings that roll smoothly forward, distortion blending together guitar and bass, light percussion merged to create a deep, weighty and slow but engaging beat that builds throughout. The artist rlyblonde has strong vocals, not only does her voice suit this indie/alt rock feel but you can feel the depth and passion as she performs. Although as you can see from my brief intro above, she wears many hats as a multi-disciplinary creator and artist, but I can confidently say from the quality and potency of this track that she masters everything that she tackles. I strongly urge you to check out this track for yourself because it is exceptional, and I’m confident it’ll make it onto my and your regular playlist.
