Kosha Dillz (or Rami Matan Even-Esh) is an Israeli-American rapper and hip hop artist, from New Jersey. He is noted for his freestyle rap skills, comedic presence and for performing in multiple languages: namely English, Hebrew, Yiddish and Spanish. Today I’ll be reviewing his single ‘Ceasefire’ which was released November 28th 2023.
‘Ceasefire’ opens slowly, a light underbeat that builds to a strong percussive rhythm, and as expected Dillz has incredible flow, and really captures a strong momentum and vibe. I listened to a few of his other tracks before landing on this more recent one for the review and I really like that he balanced humour, sincerity and serious discussion points through his raps, creating strong rhymes to a good beat is like the most basic requirement of a rap artist and yet Dillz elevates is to a whole new level with his unique perspectives, opinions and heritage but result in something that draws you in. I really enjoyed this track, it just flows so well and sticks in your head for a long time after you’ve heard it. I also really enjoy the horns layered at points throughout which add to the overall track. I strongly recommend you check out Dillz for yourself because he’s a luminous talent and from what I can gather a really nice dude as well.
So that’s what I thought of Kosha Dillz single ‘Ceasefire’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
