The Bedside Morale are a four piece indie rock outfit from Bristol made up of Charlie Dowzell on Lead Guitar, Tim Kazer on Guitar/Vocals, Kynan Scott on Bass and T Coles on Drums. Today I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Bitter Things’ which was released December 1st 2023.
‘Bitter Things’ kicks things off hard and heavy, an almost immediate frenzy of well orchestrated instrumental flourishes, blending and melding together, expertly supporting the vocals and creating a passionate, intense melody that just immediately draws you in. This is my first exposure to the band because it won’t be the last because this is just a phenomenal track, it’s hard to explain but it just does exactly what you want, softer more melodic sections punctuated and counterpointed by shredding, powerful and high intensity sections. This song has a level of dynamism, sophistication and just sheer star power than is amazing and I’m excited to see where they go from here.
