Reignite are a musical duo made up of Edwin and Menno who produce their own unique brand of music which celebrates God and their faith. The pair are originally from the Netherlands, with Menno still living there, while Edwin has relocated to Massachusetts. Today I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Shining Light’ which was released November 25th 2023.

‘Shining Light’ opens with a brief musical flurry, and bright, cherry whistling, backed up by a light percussion which blends perfectly into the vocals. I like the differences between the vocalists, the deeper vs the lower tones to create some nice audio texture. As I mentioned up top this song is about the bounty of God’s grace, and it’s a very pure song. Light and hopefully, whether or not you’re a person of faith, it’s still a good track. I think the melody flows well, and overall it works really well. I was expecting this to be simpler, just a clean, clear melody, but while it’s not too busy, it’s got a nicely structured tune which is catchy and memorable.

So that’s what I thought of Reignite’s single ‘Shining Light’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
