Cloe Wilder is a singer/songwriter and musician from Clearwater, Florida. If you’re interested in finding out a little bit more about the artist why not check out my interview by clicking here. We’ve covered Cloe Wilder before on Indie Light, and you can click here to read more. Today I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Super 8’ which was released April 8th 2023.
‘Super 8’ opens with light and airy acoustic guitar that richly and brightly opens up into Wilder’s vocals, more so than ever her voice just meshes so perfectly with the track creating a bittersweet and passionate melody that reminds me that music can be a transcendent experience. How with even a simple melody, competently done, you can experience the emotions of another person. I have been consistently blown away by the range, talent and depth of Wilder as she’s created an impressive discography that I’ve regularly revisited, and considering the amount of music that filters into my inbox regularly, revisiting a track means it’s really earned a place in my heart. Perhaps my only complaint about this song, if you can even call it that, is that it’s shorter than average, so it ends almost abruptly, but I guess there’s something to be said for wanting more of something beautiful.
So that’s what I thought of Cloe Wilder’s single ‘Super 8’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
