Cloe Wilder is a 17-year-old singer/songwriter and musician, originally from Clearwater, Florida, but is now based in Los Angeles, California. She produces her own unique brand of dark/sad pop. If you’d like to find out a little bit more about Wilder, then you can click here to check out our interview with her. We’ve also covered Wilder before on Indie Light, and you can click here to read more. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘House by the Water’ which was released October 19th 2022.

‘House by the Water’ opens with smooth acoustic guitars that slowly fill you up, blending into Wilder’s breathtaking vocals. I’m so glad that me first starting this site back in 2017 coincided with Wilder’s career because it’s been such an honour seeing and hearing her grow and develop as an artist. I’ve been blown away by her maturity and raw talent. This song is filled with depth and complexity, and while the overall melody is relatively simple it’s poignant and just completely takes a hold of you. I cannot say often enough how grateful I am to do this job because I get to hear such incredible music, and if you do anything today I urge you to check out Wilder’s music because you won’t regret it.

So that’s what I thought of Cloe Wilder’s single ‘House by the Water’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
