Avalon Stone is an alt-rock singer/songwriter and musician from Kitchener, a city in the province of Ontario, Canada. Today, I’ll be reviewing her debut solo single ‘Forget You’ which was released October 13th 2023.

‘Forget You’ opens hard, a building sustained chord with distortion, opening into a complex and frenzied melody of strings and percussion that blends with Avalon’s tremendous, powerful vocals that remind me that no matter how old I get there’s still a little rocker boy in me. I really like the energy and drive of this track, it’s dark and heavy and raw and you feel the palpable intensity of the performance. It does have slower, softer, more melodic moments, and Avalon’s voice is equally suited to the hauntingly beautiful, melancholy as it is, the ferocity and passion of the other sections. Overall this is a superb track that perfectly debut’s the talented Avalon Stone, and ensures, if you’ll forgive the weak attempt at a joke that I will not forget her.

So that’s what I thought of Avalon Stone’s single ‘Forget You’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
