The Answer are a hard rock outfit from Northern Ireland, who have been performing together since 2000. The band’s members are Cormac Neeson, Paul Mahon, Micky Waters and James Heatley. Today, I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Wild Heart’ which was released November 17th 2023.
‘Wild Heart’ opens hard with a blaring bass and percussive beat that just overwhelms you instantly with sheer awesomeness. The vocals not only perfectly fit with the powerful instrumentals but have that classic rock vibe, not just a singer, but a proper performer. This song has tremendous energy and a drilling, forward drive that carries you right through to the end without giving up for even a second. I love songs that just fill you up, and I’m confident this would be even more sensational live, the flurry of strings, and percussion just exploding in perfect harmony and synchronicity to create something beyond excellent. This is my first experience with The Answer but I will be keeping my eye out for them in the future because this was an incredible track that managed to perk me up, even though I’m on day three of a really bad chest infection.
