Sarah Crean is an Irish Singer/songwriter, originally from Dublin, but now based in Brighton, she was influenced by the likes of Japanese Breakfast and Men I Trust to create her own unique brand of indie music. Today I’ll be reviewing her single ‘The Subtle Art of Past’ which was released November 6th 2023.

‘The Subtle Art of Past’ opens with bright, airy, electronic tones that blend into a tight, percussive fill that fleshes out as Crean’s vocals are added to the mix. Her voice, hauntingly beautiful and soulful, in a way that manages to portray sadness and depth in such a way as to truly connect with you as the listener. As I sort of alluded to above, this is my first time listening to or reviewing the artist, and I just happened upon them by chance on social media and I’m so glad for that happenstance because I was immediately captivated by this track, the energy that builds, becoming almost urgent, and yet still keeping with the overall vibe and feel of the track. It has its highs and lows, and Crean’s vocals match the intensity and mood of the moment. I really enjoyed this track, and I look forward to more from the artist.

So that’s what I thought of Sarah Crean’s single ‘The Subtle Art of Past’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
