Letdown. is a musical project from Chicago based, alt-rock singer/songwriter and musician, Blake Coddington. The project emerged during lockdown, as a way to continue to express himself and challenge himself as an artist. In fact, in a chat he had with ‘Big Loud Publishing’ he talked about how this project has been a way to boost his own mental health, and how he hopes to help others through his music. Today, I’ll be reviewing his single ‘Go To Hell’ which deals with the alluring temptations of people and things we know are wrong for us, and was released July 15th 2022.

‘Go To Hell’ kicks off with some synth infused vocal tones, before it flows into some sensational, raw and powerful singing. His voice is just amazing, it just fills you up and you feel every stray emotion he’s putting out there. I found this track on Instagram, and it’s possibly the first time I’ve seen an advert more than once or twice and not been frustrated by it. I think it was the purity and sincerity which swung it for me, each time I heard it, It was a genuine high point of my day. Seriously though, I know I endeavour to be positive in these tracks, but this is flawless, and punchy and powerful and I’ve found myself listening to it on repeat. This will be going up with a couple of different posts, but if you do anything today, check out this track for yourself because, to make a shitty pun, it will send you to heaven if you ‘Go To Hell’.

So that’s what I thought of Letdown’s single ‘Go To Hell’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and show your support for the artist, and keep up to date with their latest goings on, by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
