Arden Cho is a sensationally talented actress and musician, who we’ve had the pleasure of covering multiple times before on Indie Light, and if you’re interested you can click here to read more. If you’re unfamiliar with Cho however, she’s probably most noted for playing Kira Yukimura on the MTV supernatural drama, Teen Wolf, or as the main character on the Netflix original series, Partner Track, adapted from the book of the same name. As I touched on above, she’s a musician as well as an actress, and today, we’ll be reviewing her cover of ‘Clean’ by Hillsong UNITED, a Christian worship band formed in 1998 as part of the Youth Ministry of Hillsong Church. Cho released her cover to YouTube April 15th 2022.
‘Clean’ opens with big, flowing piano chords that support Cho’s beautiful voice, and as she carries on you are just carried away by her strong performance. I may or may not have talked about this previously, but I consider myself to be a spiritual person but not overtly religious, however when I heard music like this, especially faith driven songs like this one, I truly feel god’s presence, because to me God is Love, and songs like this and performer like Cho just fill my heart up so much. This was a breath-taking and soulful performance that was improved even more by the fantastic skills of Daniel Jang on the Keys.
So that’s what I thought of Arden Cho’s cover of ‘Clean’ and if you’d like to check that out for yourself then head on over to YouTube. Make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and by subscribing to their YouTube channel.
