Cherry Lena is a singer/songwriter and musician from Montreal, Canada, whose music is blend of alt-pop and R&B. Today, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Sad Boy’ which was released June 9th 2022.
‘Sad Boy’ has a really nice building melody, an ambient beat that just fills the room when you listen to it, but nothing can compare to the sheer awesomeness, the beauty of a vocalist like Cherry, her voice just reaches places when you listen. The way I do these reviews, as I’ve talked about before, is that I listen to it a few times before sitting down to review, and then I have it on while writing, and songs like this make that a genuine treat, as listening to this song just those handful of times was an experience. It’s deep and soulful and impactful and overall this is just a standout track. I will for sure be keeping my eyes peeled for Cherry Lena in the future.
