Earthquake Lights are a five piece, Brooklyn based rock outfit made up of Myles Rodenhouse, Stephen Helms, James DiGirolamo, Cam Underhill and Evan Douaihy. Today, I’ll be reviewing their single Out of Sight, Out of Mind’ which was released April 7th 2022.
‘Out of Sight, Out of Mind’ opens slower than I was expecting, a swinging melody, light percussion leading us into some gentle, smooth bluesy vocals. It builds as he injects more intensity into the delivery, and as the instrumental melody builds underneath, elements like piano being infused to create a richly more texture rhythmic track. I’ve only just discovered this group, and it was entirely by chance on Instagram but after listening to this sensational track, I am absolutely certain to be keeping an eye out for their music in the future.
