Scott Patterson, also known as Scotty P is an American actor, musician and business owner. He is perhaps best known for his role as Luke Danes in Gilmore Girls. Prior to his acting career, he was a professional baseball player between 1980 and 1986, playing for several teams including the Nashville Sounds and the Atlanta Braves, and before ending his baseball career, he managed to reach the Triple-A level, which is the highest level of play of the minor leagues. In 2017 he founded his own coffee company, called Scotty P’s Big Mug Coffee where he sells a variety of coffee. Having tried a selection from his brand, I can personal attest to the quality of the coffee. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing his single ‘I Want to Kiss You More’ which was released September 3rd 2021.

‘I Want to Kiss You More’ opens quickly with a rapid fire drum fill that bleeds straight into a high energy vocal and guitar fusion. This is a song that you just get swept up by, it has a really nice vibe, and melody that blends in higher energy sections, with softer parts that allow the vocals to shine. Patterson has a deep voice, one with depth to it, and he really pulls out all the stops in this track, showing everything he is capable of. I think what I liked about this track most though was it was so catchy, and it does so without being cheesy or repetitive, it just had a really nice hook and used it well, so you end up singing this track to yourself days and weeks afterwards.
