Logan Gilmartin is an indie singer/songwriter and musician from Perth. He is joined for this track by guitarist Tom McGregor, and the track is being released under the banner of the Scottish music collective and record label, Mi Familia. The track tells the story of a visit to the titular Spanish town, with the intention of capturing the energy and vibe of the place. The track in question ‘Magaluf’ was released December 9th 2021.
‘Magaluf’ opens with the sounds of the beach, the flowing sea and seagulls, which slowly merge and are replaced by a lively acoustic guitar and some light percussion. They work to support Gilmartin’s vocals, his voice is soft and melodic and blends well with the upbeat energy of the track. I really like the delivery of his lines, and how the performance matches the tempo of the track. I think I’ll probably have this song stuck in my head for a while, because the catchy melody really stays with you. I have heard anything from Logan previously, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for him for sure after this phenomenal submission.
So that’s what I thought of Logan Gilmartin’s single ‘Magaluf’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
