Asian Doll (who also goes by Asian Da Brat) is the performing name of Misharron Jermeisha Allen, an American rapper from Dallas, Texas. She was the first female artist signed to Gucci Mane‘s record Label The New 1017 Records (formerly 1017 Eskimo Records). Today, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Twice’ which was released April 15th 2021.

‘Twice’ opens with synth driven vocals, a heavy but atmospheric melody, and a hard percussive beat that all blend together. Asian Doll’s voice is strong, she delivers the lines with power, but it’s also nice to listen to, she doesn’t need to mask it beneath any artificial covering, although she does at point utilise such technique to add more depth to the overall number. It’s a catchy enough song, that’s surprisingly well balanced, not too fast and not too slow, just a solid track, with a nice hook that works really well.

So that’s what I thought of Asian Doll’s single ‘Twice’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Twitter and Instagram.
