Taylor Simpson is a singer/songwriter and musician from Toronto, Canada. Today I’ll be reviewing his single ‘Drifting’ which was released November 26th 2021.

‘Drifting’ opens with a light percussive fill, that then blends in an acoustic guitar loop, which sets the stage for Taylor’s voice which is sweet and melodic and just kind of takes you along with it. The track builds up as he sings, the percussion becomes more fleshed out, and the guitar continues throughout. It’s a mellow track, not without energy but it’s not hammering forward, instead it’s just an even tempo and an easy to listen to tune which works well with the bittersweet nature of the track. This was my first exposure to Taylor, and I’m glad that this track dropped in my inbox because it’s just relaxed and yet not without depth, in short it’s a superb song, and I look forward to hearing more.

So that’s what I thought of Taylor Simpson’s single ‘Drifting’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
