OOF is the performing name of Jaïs Frédéric Elalouf, a French music composer, producer, DJ, video director and journalist, as well as the founder of the agency, Ping Pong. Today, I’ll be reviewing his single ‘Métaphysique’ which was released November 10th 2021.
‘Métaphysique (ft. Mike Ladd)’ opens with an atmospheric synthy melody, supported by some staccato percussion that builds as the track progresses. The vocalist has a wonderful voice, he matched the energy of the track perfectly while still bringing something unique to the whole performance. This is a very busy track, you could get almost lost in the melody which is somehow both mellow and surprisingly high energy. I really loved the woodwind instrumental section, and how it balanced and counterpointed the strings. Overall this is a super cool track that takes you on a musical journey in 3 minutes and 51 seconds.
So that’s what I thought of OOF’s single ‘Métaphysique (ft. Mike Ladd)’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
