Redd is the performing name of Amy Louise Aldred, a singer/songwriter and musician from Bolton, Lancashire. Today, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Rogue’ which was released April 2nd 2021.
‘Rogue’ opens with a heavy, busy intro, the deep frenzied melody supporting Redd’s vocals perfectly. She brings power and intensity to the number. Percussion builds throughout taking over from the more overpowering opening music. I really liked the percussive breakdowns as well, they added energy and drive to the track. This is somewhat counterpointed by Redd’s voice which sort of hammers against the melody, but man do you get lost in her voice. This track just has a lot of fire to it, and it’s definitely going to be replayed a good few times over the next couple of weeks because its a power tune, and I’ve been going through a bad patch lately and could use a pick me up like this, something which just infuses you with a sort of wild energy.
So that’s what I thought of Redd’s single ‘Rogue’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
