Halston Dare is an electronic pop singer/songwriter and musician from Houston, Texas. She grew up listening to her father perform in a barbershop quartet group and was influenced into a career in music as a result. She began writing poetry at the age of eleven, and progressed onto writing songs by the age of thirteen. This isn’t the first time I’ve covered the artist either, and you can click here to read more. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Girls’ which was released July 9th 2021.

‘Girls’ opens with a strong synth driven melody, it has a high energy but carries us forward into the fast paced vocal delivery. It has a nice momentum, and you just get swept up in this, you can practically feel yourself moving to the melodic undercurrent. Halston’s vocals are strong and she delivers the lyrics with a nice punch that makes them all the catchier. Doing this job, I hear an awful lot of music, but it’s always good when I get to hear music like this that’s fresh and just has a nice vibe, it’s not just music but its a mood, it’s fun, it’s something to dance to, have fun to and because of that I really recommend you check out this track.

So that’s what I thought of Halston Dare’s single ‘Girls’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
