Arden Cho is an American actress, singer and model, perhaps best known for her role on Teen Wolf as Kira Yukimura, a kitsune, and love interest for Scott McCall. She was also the main character on the Netflix series, Partner Track, which was adapted from the book of the same name. She’s also become very popular on YouTube, with over 537,000 subscribers, and a range of content covering vlogs, song covers as well as original music. It’s her music career that we will be talking about today, speaking of which you can click here to read more reviews of her music. Today, though I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Dive In’ which was released October 22nd 2019.
‘Dive In’ opens with an ambient synth driven melody that had a soft dream-like quality, counterpointed by a subtle but present percussive beat that to me evoked an almost heart beat like quality. Arden Cho has a wonderful voice and it blends well with the instrumental backing to this track. She has some weight to her delivery that works well with the more airy feel of the track overall. I’ve talked about it from time to time, but this track is soundtrack music, something that perfectly captures and enhances a moment, but in this case also manages to stand on its own two feet as well. I’ve enjoyed all of her tracks so far and I’m really looking forward to reviewing more over the next couple of days.
So that’s what I thought of Arden Cho’s single ‘Dive In’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support Arden Cho by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Don’t forget to subscribe to their YouTube channel as well.
