Emi Jeen is an alt-pop singer/songwriter from Montreal, Canada and today I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Runaway’ which was released August 7th 2020.

‘Runaway’ opens with an ambient synthy beat that builds as Emi Jeen’s vocals kick in. They flow well together, and you just kind of get swept away in the power of Jeen’s voice. She hits high notes expertly and you just come away with this impression of her raw talent. I also like the balance between heavier, faster sections and softer more melodic parts, but both manage to express emotion so clearly.
