Danielle Bregoli (more commonly known as Bhad Bhabie) is an American rapper from Boynton Beach, Florida, who first came to the public eye after an appearance on Dr. Phil back in 2016. Bregoli managed to harness this media focus to start her career in rap, and became an internet personality. This isn’t the first time I’ve covered Bhabie on Indie Light, and if you’re interested click here to read more. The original version of the track I’ll be discussing actually featured Kodak Black, however after he made certain inappropriate remarks, Bhabie released an updated version with Houston based rapper, Megan Thee Stallion. This updated version of ‘Bestie’ which we will be reviewing today was released May 3rd 2019.

Bestie’ opens with a melodic vocal intro, that blends with the synthy instrumentals really well. Bhabie’s rapping sections are tight as usual, and this one has a much lighter energy, it’s more fun, which is really nice to hear. Megan’s vocal sections are a nice counterpoint to Bhabie’s, her voice is deeper and adds a harder vibe to the whole track. The song is relatively short, but it’s punchy and sharp and I genuinely enjoyed listening to it.

So that’s what I thought of Bhad Bhabie’s single ’Bestie’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by visiting their website, and by following them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Bhabie has also recently started an Onlyfans account, which you can check out here, if that’s something that interests you.
