Indie Light

The Samoors are an indie/new wave group from Tel Aviv, in Israel, made up of Yuval Simcha, Andie Simcha and Erez Oppenheim. This isn’t my first time reviewing the group either, and you can click here to read more. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing their track ‘The Illusive Art of Spotting the Good in Life’ which was released May 1st 2020.

‘The Illusive Art of Spotting the Good in Life’ opens fast with some quirky, partially distorted vocals and some strong percussion. I liked the pace of this track, the drums were quick and woven well throughout the song but it maintained a fundamentally slower pace that suits the vocals and works well for the track overall. That being said even though it was slower it wasn’t soft, the percussion grew and the vocals became sharper and harder and the result was a phenomenal track that impressed me just as much as the first one.
