The Samoors are a three piece new wave/indie group from Tel Aviv-Yafo, a city in Israel. The band is made up of Yuval Simcha on Guitar/Vocals, Andie Simcha on Synth/Melodica/Vibraslap/Backing Vocals and Erez Oppenheim on Drums/Backing Vocals. This isn’t the only time I’ve covered the band on the platform either, and if you’re interested you can click here to read more. Today though I’ll be reviewing their single P.I.A.F (Patience Is A Friend)’ which was released February 8th 2020.

‘P.I.A.F (Patience Is a Friend)’ kicks things off with a light percussion that is backed up by a strong, flowing melody, which blend well with the vocals, which have a really cool distortion effect added, which enhances the overall performance. Speaking of vocals, I really liked the consistent harmony between the three voices in the group. I also really liked how they managed to incorporate in a fairly heavy percussive element throughout the track without it dominating the sound. Instead it’s a solid counterpoint to the lighter, softer notes and the result is something that’s truly memorable.

So that’s what I thought of The Samoors single ‘P.I.A.F (Patience Is a Friend)’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook and Instagram.
