Quiche are a six piece psychedelic rock group based in Glasgow, made up of Juan Laforet on Guitar/Keyboard/Vocals, Jamie McAuley on Guitar/Backing Vocals, Nate Bennet on Keyboard/Sax, Jack Borrill on Bass/Vocals and Ally Stirrat on Drums/Percussion. Today I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Dazed’ which is off their EP ‘Cardboard Sunset’ which was released January 17th 2020.
‘Dazed’ opens fast, very vibrant and high energy, that merges with vocals that fit really well with the instrumental backing, particularly the harmony feel that they’ve got going on. I really liked the feel of this track, it reminded me of all those songs from teen comedies of the late 90s and early 2000s which I mean as a compliment, but despite this similar note, at least to my ears, it still has its own identity. Something else that I liked was that you can kind of get lost in the track, it’s not too hard or heavy or frenzied, it’s just a nice measured track that just kind of takes you along with it.
So that’s what I thought of Quiche’s single ‘Dazed’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify.
