Laufey is a phenomenally talented Icelandic/Chinese singer-songwriter and cellist. This isn’t the only time I’ve reviewed the artist either, and if you’re interested you can click here to read more. Today, though I’ll be reviewing her debut single ‘Street by Street’ which was released April 6th 2020.

‘Street by Street’ opens slowly, the acoustic guitar is gentle and yet resonant, expertly supporting Laufey’s strong and distinct voice. I liked the percussive clicking, they brought a lot to the track while still allowing it to remain relatively light. Laufey has a voice for stages, for concert halls, one that just overwhelms you and I cannot wait to hear more from her.

So that’s what I thought of Laufey’s single ‘Street by Street’ and if you want to check that out then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and check out her website, and follow her on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
