Not Looking Like That is a two piece fuzz rock/punk ‘n’ roll from Glasgow made up of Dean McDill on Guitarist/vocals and Kieran Donnachie on Drums. Today I’ll be reviewing their singles ‘NOT ANOTHER (song about Rock ‘n Roll)’ and ‘Written and Directed’ which were released January 8th 2019.

‘NOT ANOTHER (song about Rock ‘n Roll)’ opens with feedback distortion and a hammering guitar, followed by some tight percussion. It’s a fast, hard track that takes no prisoners. I really like the sharp, simple tones, it’s all about fire and energy, and you easily get caught up in the rhythm. I would really like to hear this track performed live.

‘Written and Directed’ slows things down again, really giving the vocals a chance to shine, they are hard and thrashing, but are balanced out by the slower, warbling guitar, it’s a nice balance that is rewarding to listen to and works really well. I love the extended guitar riffs in this track especially, they made it something incredible.

So that’s what I thought about Not Looking Like That and their singles ‘NOT ANOTHER (song about Rock ‘n Roll)’ and ‘Written and Directed’ and if you want to check that out then head on over to Spotify. Support the group by following them on Facebook and Twitter.
