The Blue Herons are a rock based musical project from Andy Jossi, a musician based in Switzerland. This isn’t my first time reviewing The Blue Herons, and if you’re interested you can check that out here. Andy Jossi is a phenomenal talent, he’s also the man behind another musical project, The Churchhill Garden, which features him and another musician Krissy Vanderwoude who perform Dreampop / Shoegaze style music. If you’re interested you can also check out my reviews of that project as well by clicking here. Today, though, I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Another Chance (ft. Thierry Haliniak)’ which was released on April 5th 2019.

‘Another Chance (ft. Thierry Haliniak)’ has a high energy intro, it builds up, this impressive electronic melody, the vocals seem distorted which works well with the track, ever so slightly echoed to create an interesting, almost dream-like effect. I also like that there’s a lot going on, but it’s composed in such a fashion that you never feel like it’s cluttered, and there are slower sections to act as a balance.

So that’s what I thought of The Blue Herons single ‘Another Chance (ft. Thierry Haliniak)’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Bandcamp. While you’re at it support The Blue Herons by following them on Facebook.
