The False Shepherd is a six piece metalcore/hardcore band from Stockholm, Sweden made up of Sebastian on Vocals, Gramoz on Vocals, Robert on Lead Guitar, Jack on Harmonic Guitar, Robin on Bass and Jimmie on Drums. Today I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Pick Your Poison’ which was released October 5th 2018.

‘Pick Your Poison’ hammers out the gate, all heavy and dark, with a phenomenal guitar line, that’s matched only by a powerful percussive element. The screaming vocals are just amazing, so much intensity and energy, but they too are balanced up by more melodic and mournful vocals as well, another fine counterpoint that really ties this song together really well. This song just rattles ahead like an out of control train, just speeding forward with this fire and weight to it, such a strong track, and I reviewed this after a while of not reviewing music, coming back to this track after the break really reminded me why I started reviewing music in the first place.
