Cloe Wilder is a phenomenally talented singer/songwriter and musician, from Clearwater, Florida. She’s a dark pop artist, that infuses her music his a depth and emotion that is all the more surprising considering she’s only 13-years-old. I was fortunate enough to get an interview with Cloe and you can check that out by clicking here. This isn’t my first time reviewing Cloe either, and if you’re interested you can check that out by clicking here. Today, however, I’ll be reviewing her single ‘Save Me’ which was released October 4th 2019.
‘Save Me’ has a vibrant electronic intro that flows back and forth like a wave, that merges perfectly with Wilder’s voice, transcendent and beautiful, a masterclass in melancholy and duality. When I do these reviews I tend to listen to these reviews at least three or four times before writing, and then have it on in the background while writing, and it’s rare that I’ll get so caught up in the song that I’ll forget to write anything, but it happened here. This song just caught me out, I went in expecting it to be good because I’d already reviewed her before so I knew she was talented but I was so impressed by this track, it was just so poignant and deep, listening to it, to extend the wave metaphor I started up top, is like just being submerged in the song, it’s just that powerful.
So that’s what I thought of ‘Save Me’ by Cloe Wilder and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the artist by following her on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
