Ishani Chakravarty is a singer-songwriter from Bangalore, who is currently based in London and I’ve had quite an experience discovering her soulful and powerful music. Today I’ll be reviewing her latest track ‘Dark Angel’ but before I do I want to share some more information about the track. ‘Dark Angel’ was Ishani’s way of expressing her loss and helping her cope with the death of two of her friends. She sends a powerful message with this track that will resonate with anyone who has lost someone to suicide.

‘Dark Angel’ has a nice synthy melody that rises and falls and provides the perfect counterpoint to Ishani’s amazing voice, going into this track with some of the knowledge about it, you think to yourself that it wasn’t what you were expecting, but it knocks away any preconceived notions and delivers a powerful message and a track that hits hard and that I’ve listened to on repeat because it just gets into your head.
