Sapienn is a Glasgow based Singer/songwriter who came to music a little later in life than most but within a very short space of time has performed very widely. I’ve reviewed him before on Indie Light, and you can click here to check out those. Today however I will be reviewing his single ‘1955’, which was released in 2017.

‘1955’ opens with a very nice guitar intro, before Sapienn starts to sing, he has a voice that’s both powerful and melodic, he’s joined by a second voice for ‘1955’ and the harmony between the two adds something to this track. This is a really touching track, but it took me a few listens before I really listened to it, the song goes down so well that you can just kinda get swept away in the melody and the feel of the track, but after listening to it a few times I liked it even more, it’s a very rich song full of heart and a melancholic sweetness.

So that’s what I thought about ‘1955’ by Sapienn, and if you want to keep up to date with him then follow him on Facebook, Twitter and his personal website.
